The Important Stuff

All charter service packages for both Taft’s Tackle Angler Charter Service and Taft’s Tackle Ice Fishing Experience contain an implied risk. Any personal injury or property loss resulting from a charter is the responsibility of Passengers or Guests. Any loss or damage to Property, Vessel, or vehicles beyond normal wear, will be the responsibility of Passengers or Guests.

It is the responsibility of any and all passengers or Guests to obtain any required state licenses BEFORE charter begins. It is the responsibility of Passengers or Guests to bring all proper attire for inclement weather conditions. Charter begins at the moment that either, A: Boat is taken off of the trailer and guide starts outboard engine or B: Guide begins drilling holes for use by type. Any travel expenses incurred by Passengers or Guests are their sole expense and may not be deducted against any charter cost.

In the event of a inclement weather on the day of your booked charter, please call ahead at least 24 hours in advance to find out about  weather conditions. Charters take place in most weather conditions. If you fail to arrive for your charter you will be subject to loss of deposit. If conditions absolutely prevent fishing, your deposit can be held against a rescheduled trip.

All species listed are examples only and do not imply a guarantee except where specified.

NO BODY OF WATER WILL BE FISHED IN UNSAFE CONDITIONS. In the event that a reserved body of water is deemed to be unsafe due to weather conditions or poor ice, another water will be chosen with the best ability to meet the type of fishing you prefer.

When booking an Ice Fishing trip, Please make sure that you are able to walk on the ice. There are many days when the ice surface can be very slippery. Walking cleats can be supplied if necessary, but make sure you are able to safely keep your balance by walking in them ON LAND before you venture onto the ice.
